Show CONDUCT RITES FOR PIONEER S. II. BUILDER Funeral services were conducted Tuesday for Hyrum J. Jensen, 84, prominent Sugar House contractor and pioneer. Mr. Jensen began his building career at the age of 16, when he and his brother built a four-room adobe-brick home for their mother. Three years later, he and his brother formed the Jensen-Han-sen Building company. Always active in the LDS church, he was a high priest in the Smith ward and president of the Granite Stake High Priests quorum from 1930 to 1949. He was a second counsellor in the Danish Emigrant Association and a member of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers. Services were conducted by Bishop Veon G. Smith of the Smith ward in the Granite Stake house. |
