PI0I1EER PLAN TO BE TOLD AT SUP MEET An announcement and a presentation presen-tation concerning plans for the Pioneer Mormon Village to be built on the old prison site, will be made this evening at the annual Christmas banquet' "of "fie Sugar House Sons of Utah Pioneers. Horace A. Sorensen will make the surprise announcement and Heber C. Egbert will make the presentation. presenta-tion. Chapter ,. president,- Karl B. Hall will accept. Nicholas G. Morgan, Sr., will also speak about the proposed park. Featured speaker of the evening will be Elbert R. Curtis, who will talk about Sugar House Pioneers. A number of special guests will be present at the dinner held in the Rosecrest ward banquet hall. 3101 South East. They will include Mayor and Mrs. Earl J. Glade; Commissioners L. C. Romney, George Morgan, Ray Greenwood, Lamont Gunder-sen, Gunder-sen, Adiel F. Stewart and their wives; State Senator and Mrs. Elias L. Day, Sec. of State-elect and Mrs. LaMont Toronto. Other special guests will be members mem-bers of the architectural firm which drew plans for the layout of the park. They include Mr. and Mrs. Raymond J. Ashton, Mr. and Mrs. B. E. Brazier, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond L. Evans. Wendvll J. Dinner music will be furnished by the Beesley string ensemble, and the fine banquet will be prepared pre-pared by Chef Sonny Dressen. An excellent program has been arranged and includes a comedy act by Alice Hepworth; tap dancing danc-ing and tumbling by Rebecca Smart and Roland Butler, accompanied by Shirley Hunt; a comedy sketch by Jessie Lemmon. |
