Show Xidawright 'JjJHB23B!5en"said there is nothing no-thing new under the sun and in regards to womens' fashions, this is so true. The desire to create and to seek a change that is part of every person, gives stimulus to leaders of the fashion world, and of course, keeps a huge industry prospering namely, the clothing business. Consequently, the fashions fash-ions for this fall and winter will be different from last year. While we were looking forward to stepping into the new clothes for last spring designers were busy stirring into research, to come up with something captivating captivat-ing and 'new' for this fall. From the recent fashion openings, -we see they have brought to us a revival of styles from 1911-12. For example, women's clothes will be most feminine the return of long dinner gowns, full-length evening dresses, more draping, added panels on sheath dresses, in fact, accent on making the woman look the lady. These are simply modifications of clothes worn during dur-ing that peaceful period before World War I. Hair stylists have gone back a bit more to the Victorian. Interest will be on the smooth straightened hair copying the style of that period. Current pictures in leading lead-ing fashion magazines, show this in extreme form, but it will be modified and accepted quite universally. uni-versally. Many of us rebel, at first, to styles thrust upon us, but before long we accept them. Although none of us want to see ourselves coming down the street, still we would not want to be caught wearing last years fashions. We strive to look individual,. yet follow the accepted pattern of the current cur-rent season. The curious fact is the delight of the designers and fashion leaders. |
