Show Plunder Perils Plague Pairoling Police Cruising Sugar House police officers have found many doors and windows at the rear of business busi-ness establishments inadequately inadequate-ly locked or protected. Lt. Wilford Young, officer in charge, says owners should provide pro-vide bars and strong locks for doors and windows situated in dark accessible sections of their stores. Police try to notify owners that doors are left unlocked or windows are left open, but there are just too many discovered to follow up on, said Lt. Young. Police have completed their investigation in-vestigation of two juvenile girls accused of breaking into the Lady Gay Shoppe; smashing fixtures and stealing clothes. The case has been closed, according ac-cording to Lt. Wilford Young, Sugar House Branch chief, and action against the pair has been left to juvenile authorities. Two escapees from the State Industrial School at Ogden were captured by Sugar House officers offi-cers Monday night. The boys were accompanied by two girls. School officers returned the escapees es-capees to Ogden Tuesday. . Reports of stolen bicycles from parks and other public places still are raining into Sugar House Police Headquarters. Headquart-ers. Lt. Wilford Young says there aren't enough officers in the entire en-tire force to keep constant check at these places. It is up to the parents, he said, to aid - police by providing their children chil-dren with locks for their bicycles. |
