Show ATOM ADDRESS BEFORE S. II. LIONS CLUB Guest speaxer at the Sugar House Lions club last week was Elmo Morgan, vice president of the University of Utah, and formerly for-merly associated with the Atomic Energy Commission. Morgan showed two short films, "Operation Nevada" and "A is for Atom," which were followed by a discussion. Dr. Alma Cottom, program chairman, introduced the speaker. Joe Fisher, president, announced the district conference was held in Elko March 25 and 26. ' Guest speakers at the affair were Melvin Jones, founder of Lions International, and D. A. Skeen, prominent Salt Lake at- torney and past president of Lions International. A five minute skit was presented by the Sugar House group announcing an-nouncing the candidacy of Wendell Wen-dell Cottrell for district governor. Attending from the club were Mr. and Mrs. Armond Coles, Mr. and Mrs. E. Rumel Cayton, Dr. and Mrs. James O. Brewerton, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Facer, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin R. Wooley, Mr. and Mrs. Wendell L. Cottrell, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Crockett, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman B. Lowe, Mr. and Mrs. Duane O. Wright and Alfred Hol-lingshaus. Hol-lingshaus. The conference was held at the Ranchinn and the group returned Sunday. |
