Show Conference to Open Saturday The 12Tth semi-annual conference confer-ence of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has been set for April 3, 4, 5 and 6 at the tabernacle. Pres. David O. McKay, who has traveled extensively throughout the church missions during the year, will preside at the conference con-ference and report on the progress pro-gress of the church in foreign lands. The first session of the general conference will open Saturday evening eve-ning when thousands of members of the priesthood will gather in the historic tabernacle. Once again, conference visitors from all parts of world will thrill to the "Book of Mormon Oratorio" Ora-torio" which will be presented Wednesday evening. David S. Romney, managing director di-rector of the orchestra, said unusual un-usual widespread interest is being shown in the presentation, which will be the final concert of the season by the orchestra. The new work by Dr. Leroy J. Robertson will be presented by the Utah Symphony and a large chorus. chor-us. Maurice Abarvanel has extended extend-ed an invitation to all singers who have participated in previous performances per-formances to join with the combined com-bined University of Utah choruses. "This is one of the most significant sig-nificant musical achievements to come from this area and every Utahn should be proud of it," Mr. Abravanel said.
