Show What's New in Drapes There is nothing more important in room furnishings than the accessories ac-cessories and drapes or curtains as they take the spotlight in a room, and in the new modern trends of interior decorating, and home furnishings, fur-nishings, they are the accent in any room. Tile most interesting new trends in fabrics is the printed sheers in either prints or florals; used un-;n un-;n d to shew the same design on l-it.'i.-i Side. I 'orteson, sun and fade proof synthetic material, can be used uy nicely unlined, a popular style in arapes today. Another fabric in demand, and growing in popularity, popu-larity, is Bouele, a loosely woven casement which is also used in the unlined drapes. One notices that the general trend in drapes and (ii, ains is far from the over head swa and bulkiness of the lined divpe of a few years ago, but rather turns to the straight unlined drape which is artistically hung from ceiling to the floor rather than just above the window. And plain colors are more prominent in designers decorating schemes than the figured and large floral ones of the past years. If you're shopping shop-ping for curtains only the new textures and interesting weaves in fabrics will add that new look to any room. Adding to the decorative window treatment is the new note in rods with the painted pole type rod becoming very popular. And if it is kitchen windows milady has in mind one must not overlook the now popular tier and cafe curtain . . . they are definitely here for a while. You'll see them all at the open house tonight. |
