Show Beautiful Ceremony Dedicates New Relief Society Building A special feature of the General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the dedication yesterday afternoon of the new Relief Society building located at 76 North Main St. Top honors for the occasion went to President David O. McKay who delivered de-livered the dedicatory prayer in the new building while an interbuilding hookup carried his voice to surrounding sur-rounding structures in which were gathered large crowds of well wishers. Open house for the past several days has given thousands the (Continued on Page 9) Relief Society (Continued from Page 1) chance of inspecting the great new symbol to the women of the Church. The beautiful exterior is of Buehner Mo-Sai stone such as is used in the Los Angeles Temple. The interior is a most harmonious blend of carpet, drape and wall coloring. Many exquisite gifts have found suitable display place in the new home. For many many years members of the Relief Society have been individually in-dividually donating such sums as they could which when all accum-mulated accum-mulated and matched by the Church funds provided an adequate sum to complete the building with some to spare. |
