Show S.H. PROGRESS IS RECOUNTED AT C.C. AFFAIR (July 21 ) The Sugar House chamber of commerce had as its guests the very young and old timers at a dinner meeting at the Beau Brummel. Ray Free was chairman and John C. Barnfs delivered a talk on the progression of Sugar House. He recalled some of the newer and modern things w hich had taken place, among which were South East Furniture, the new Christiansen Christian-sen store. Bingham's Men's shop, Bank's Jewelry store, the new LaRie's, Bud's Men's Duds, the Snelgrove Ice Cream parlor, Jarnel's, Jar-nel's, the new Grand Central Market, Granite Mills, the new Walker Bank, the new First Security, Se-curity, new Acme Paint, Schubach Television center, Richards Medical Med-ical clinic, the Redman's Storage building, new Mclntyre building, which will house the ultra modern Keith O'Brien store as well as five other units. "But we must still look to the future." Mr. Barnes said. "We must make Sugar House the biggest, the classiest and the smartest shopping shop-ping center in the west." |
