Show GRANITE MOTES $3 MILLION in school sum Taxpayers in Granite school district dis-trict voted about 19 to 1 in favor of floating a $3 million bond issue to finance construction of additional addi-tional school facilities. The unofficial tally at the end of balloting was 2755 for the bond issue and 146 against it. With an estimated 12,000 to 15,-000 15,-000 eligible voters in the district, Dow P. Brian, district clerk, expressed ex-pressed disappointment at the light vote. Plans for the building program will get underway as soon as possible, pos-sible, according to Mr. Brian. They include a new junior high school, two new elementary schools and a new gymnasium at Cyprus high. The program also calls for a number of new facilities at several sev-eral other schools. |
