(Neal) White has been renamed assistant vice president in charge of the Sugar House office , of First Security Bank of Utah NA, George S. Eccles, president, i announced following the annual directors' meeting of the bank last week. i Also renamed were B. W. Vincent Vin-cent as assistant vice president and Edward C. Hitchcock as manager of "Timeway" credit department. White said that the 1953 earnings of the First Security system of 54 bank offices in Utah, Idaho and Wyoming were $2,684,526.34, or $2.57 a share, compared with 1952 earnings of $2,265,032.53, or $2.17 a share. Earnings for 1953 were i realized after taxes of $2,291,168.27, or $2.19 a share. He noted that the First Security system of banks total resources climbed to $371,545,059.23 at the close of 1953. The figures in 1952 was $353,751,083.18. When the First Security Bank system was organized organ-ized in 1928 the figure was $39,706,-011.34. $39,706,-011.34. White said that six of the oldest banks in the intermountain area, then known as .the Eccl.is-Brown-ing affiliated banks, formed the nucleus of the First Security system sys-tem of banks. "The strength and experience of old institutions and the added advantages ad-vantages of modern branch banking bank-ing are retained in First Security's system," White said "First Security has continued to meet all legitimate credit demands in the system's area, as shown by 113,086 loans made during the year, aggregating $313,845,987.31," White said. This total included 66,525 Timeway loans, totaling $82,147,-925.81 $82,147,-925.81 for purchasing automobiles, automo-biles, home appliances, repairing needs. During 1953, the First Se-homes, Se-homes, and meeting other personal curity system made 2765 real estate es-tate loans, totaling $24,808,195.97, and an additional 43,796 loans, aggregating ag-gregating $206,889,865.53, were made to business firms, industry, farmers, livestock men and others.
