Show MCCUNE SCHOOL OF DAIiCE GIVES RECITAL The Horace A. Sorensen home at 3000 Connor Street, was the scene 1 of a benefit concert Wednesday evening, presented by the McCune School of Dance, under the direction direc-tion of Virginia Tanner. Among the dancers were Sandra Hagman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Hagman; Julie, Linda and Diane Whittaker, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Edison T. Whittaker; Andrea An-drea Agard, daughter of Mr. and Mjrs. A. A. Agard; Ann Cannon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Cannon; Can-non; Penny Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fern Andersen; Kathleen Kath-leen Hinkley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hinkley, and Ann Goalln, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. B. Goalin. The group of 23 children, ranging rang-ing in age from 7 to 17, presented the beautiful creative dances accompanied ac-companied by Norma Dalby. Two of the musical scores were written by her husband, Glen Dalby. Jack Tanner played marimba music as the guests arrived for the concert. Cup cakes and punch were served, with Mrs. Deward Hopkins and Mrs. John W. Skola serving the cakes and Mrs. I. W. Stevens and Mrs. Vernon Lemaster presiding presid-ing at the punch bowl. , Miss Tanner has been invited to bring her group to Jacobs Pillow Dance Theater, Lee, Massachusetts, which is directed by Ted Shawn, and to the Connecticut School of Dance, where she has been asked to give a lecture on the method of teaching dance. Befroe returning to Salt Lake City, the group will stop in Chicago and also Palmyra, New York. |
