Show EDMONDS GETS POST OH EGG COMMITTEE Clyde C. Edmonds, general manager man-ager of the Utah Poultry and Farmers Farm-ers Cooperative, has been named on the egg industry advisory committee, com-mittee, which is being formed to consult and advise with the department depart-ment of agriculture on U.S. egg and poultry problems. Ezra Tait Benson, secretary of agriculture, asked Edmonds to serve on the committee. Edmonds attended a special egg conference in Washington last month, called by the department of agriculture, and this permanent egg industry advisory committee has been established as a result of that meeting. In referring to the last meeting, which included poultry leaders from all parts of the nation, Secretary Sec-retary Benson said: "The recommendations that came out of your meeting gave me a great deal of pleasure. I was happy to see that your group believes the egg industry wishes government assistance as-sistance in the form of better statistics sta-tistics and more research work, rather than in the form of price assistance. , "This last conference was so successful suc-cessful that we want to make it a permanent advisory committee. I know much good will result from it." ' Edmonds, who has served on many national committees and boards, will represent the inter-mountain inter-mountain area on the new advisory committee. |
