Show Liquor Agency to Be Moved From Present 11 East Location The Sugar House liquor package pack-age agency at 1983 South 11th East will have its charter revoked re-voked by the Utah State Liquor Control Commission according - to recent action of the board. The action was apparently partially encouraged by petition recently circulated among business busi-ness people and residents citing the present location as unsatisfactory unsatis-factory due to traffic problems. It was learned, however, that the city traffic department bad been studying the situation for some time and that the liquor commission was considering a new plan for liquor dispensing places in the southeast area previous to the receipt of the petition. Sugar House Chamber of Commerce Com-merce members, at their monthly month-ly membership meeting, voted approval of a letter to the city commission and the liquor board informing those two groups that the present agency had been :un satisfactorily and that the owner (James C. Allen) has been operating bis place in a clean and orderly manner. Only objection to the agency has been in regard to traffic snarls on 11th East. New plan under study by the liquor board is to have about three package agencies at strategic stra-tegic points in the southeast area. |
