Good news about convalescents: convales-cents: CAROL LOFTUS, who was stricken with polio, is gradually grad-ually recuperating under hospitalization hospi-talization and tender care. Carol is a Gleaner in Kenwood Ward, well-liked, and well-known. PHILLIP PARKER, another Kenwood polio case, is almost well again, too, and his little brother, Bob, is completely recovered. re-covered. BILL ... Twelve, year-old BENNY BILL BURDETT, of Garden Heights took a spill down a mountain-side and has spent several sev-eral weeks unconscious in the hospital. But Benny is home again now, which is great news for all. RAY . . . RAY RASMUSSEN has conquered con-quered appendicitis after an operation, op-eration, and it's a treat to see his smiling face again. He's choir leader and mutual worker in Kenwood. ARMY . . . BOYD WRIGHT isn't sick, but he's gone. It's that old army life calling again. Boyd, who is engaged to EMC's cute MARILYN MARI-LYN WHITE, left Oct. 30 for parts unkown. Tears 'n that. |
