Show Red Cross Drive Lasjs Although several hundred volunteer vol-unteer workers have been busy for three weeks, Salt Lake County Coun-ty has just passed the half-way mark in the annual Fund Drive of the American Red Cross, W. A. Huckins, general chairman of the drive reported this week. This, in spite of the fact that the Red Cross month is nearly over and the goal of $130,000 is still far away. 'Last Appeal A last appeal is being made this week for Utah to assume its proper place among western states in support of the mercy organization, which not only must be ready for every emergency emerg-ency in this time of international stress, but must continue its work among veterans of the last war in the hospital, in the army camps abroad, and in time of civilian disaster within' the nation. na-tion. Utah is now trailing most of the western states, in donations to the Red Cross cause.
