Show around the COR In N SUGAR HOUSE E With the Editor R The Bulletin offices have become be-come Sugar House's official public relations headquarters, it the action of Salt Lake's three daily newspapers is any indication- For the first time in1 years (if not ever) Sugar House is being fully covered by qualified quali-fied "beat" reporters representing represent-ing all three papers. We don't know whether you have noticed it latelv or not, but Sugar Su-gar House and the southeast have been getting a bigger share of news coverage than ever before. be-fore. 1 Our relations with downtown newsmen has always been a do we express our thanks for the grand spirit of good will ana helpfulness they have always shown. Very often we run pictures, pic-tures, in The Bulletin which were taken by Tribune, Deseret News or Telegram photographers photograph-ers and made into mats by these same papers. On occasion we fail ot credit these papers with a line noting the fact that the cut was furnished through the courtesy of one of them. This is purely an oversight. We greatly appreciate the courtesy. We have always enjoyea working with the boys on the county beat who make the.ii 2-3-4 times weekly stop-offs at The Bulletin. We rarely fail to pick up a news item or a lead on same from them. And in return we do our best to keep them posted on the news as we see it. They're good newspapermen: senior member George "Gus" Sorensen (Telegram); Bob Ot-tum Ot-tum (Tribune) and Johnny Mc-Rae Mc-Rae (Deseret News). Ever since we've been out here our theory is regards to downtown coverage has been: no news is bad news. We're publicity-conscious enough to know the undeniable truth of this fact. So a lot of you people peo-ple who wonder how in the dickens the downtown papers found out you were remodeling, building", holding a bazaar or what-have-you . . . don't. |
