He is a member of the Young Democratic club of Utah, the Sagebrush club and the Jackson Democratic club and has served as district chairman and ward treasurer in the Democratic Demo-cratic party. Judge Jeppson has been an active worker in his profession and in civic and religious work. He commenced a misson for the Church of Jesus Chrst of Latter-day Saints when only 17 years of age. and later served as Boy Scout field commissioner in California, Arizona and Nevada Nev-ada for LDS mission- boy scout troops. He hbs recently served as a member of the 33rd Ward bishopric and at the present time he is actively engaged In boy scout work. Jeppson Jepp-son has filed his petition for election to the Third judicial 1 district court, which office he has filled since April 15, 1946, by virtue of his appointment iby j Gov. Herbert B. Maw to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation resigna-tion of Judge M. J. Bronson. In 1945, Judge Jeppson was elect- I ed city judge with next to the highest vote cast for the Salt Lake City judiciary. Judge Jeppson was appointed city Judge and subsequently was twice elected to that position. Judge Jeppson is serving his second year as the advisor for Utah on the fcommittee for improvement im-provement of traffic courts for the American Bar association. He has also served on the committee com-mittee for public safety education educa-tion for the National Safety council.
