Show Utah Sportsmen Urged to Help Protect Fawns Fishermen, campers and hik ers were warned today by George W. Reid, chief deputy warden for the tstate fish and game commission, commis-sion, to refrain from picking up or touching fawns found in forests for-ests or along the state's streams. Reid pointed out that state law provides that it is illegal "to disturb or molest or have in pose'ssion a deer other than during dur-ing the regular hunting season." Violators of the law (Section 30-0-62) . are pubject to a fine of not less than $100.00. Reid explained ihat does seldom sel-dom desert their fawns and although al-though the fawn may appear to be abandoned, the mother jia generally plose by. All game wardens have been instructed to arrest violators, Reid asserted. |
