Show B. L. F. & E. Ladies Plan 'Breakfast1 Mrs. G. B. Kendall, president of the Ladies Society of the B. L. F. & E. (Brotherhood of Local Firemen and Engineers) received receiv-ed a letter the other day that will interest a lot of people. It reads in part: ". . . Several days in advance of the party date we will air express to you our complete party kit, containing an forchid song sheets, a giant cigar and picture blow-ups of our entire cast. " With best wishes for your success, "TOM BRENEMAN." All this leads up to the gala breakfast party the Ladies' Society, So-ciety, Wasatch Lodge 6S2, are planning for tomorrow morning (Sat., Oct. 19) at 9:30 sharp in the Utah Cafe Banquet Room. The ladies haven't spared a thing to make this one of the biggest, most exciting and fun-promot- ing parties Salt Lake will have seen in a long time. The Tom Breneman "Breakfast in Hollywood" Holly-wood" theme will be followed throughout the proceedings. Radio Ra-dio station KUTA is furnishing a master of ceremonies and a number of the local stores are furnishing gifts of all descriptions. descrip-tions. Two hundred and fifty people are expected to attend the unique affair. Prizes galore have been arranged for the audience participants. Besides the lovely love-ly orchid Tom Breneman himself is sending, one lucky lady will receive a beautiful Utah "Augs-burger" "Augs-burger" orchid. Two stores are giving nylons. A S15 hat will be awarded. Several furniture stores are contributing lovely prizes and a number of jewelry stores are sending valuable gifts, including the top-prize engraved en-graved silver "Wishing Ring." Mrs., C. U. Morandy is general chairman for the breakfast, according ac-cording to Mrs. G. B. Kendall, president of the society. Anyone wishing to attend the party can do so by making reservations not later than this evening with either of these ladies. |
