Mill Creek Lady-Lions Lady-Lions to Hear Liu A public meeting under the sponsorship of 'the East Mill Creek Lady Lions, and featuring internationally known Liu Liang Li-ang Mo, the "official morale builder of China," is being held Monday evening, March 23, at 8 p.m., at the Sherman school, 3357 S. 23rd East. The public, is invited. Mr. Liu is a graduate of the Shanghai University, attended the Grozer Seminary and the University of Pennsylvania, majoring ma-joring in sociology. In his work with the China Relief, he has travelled over 100,000 miles in the U. S. During the war Mr. Liu organized hundreds of young men and trained them in sanitation, sanita-tion, first aid and public health courses. After oompletng their training these men were then sent to take care of the wounded wound-ed and sick in the war areas and guerilla camps all over China. His topic, "China Today," will emphasize defense during the past decade and the current cur-rent needs of China to restore her health and morale. As an added feature of the evening, colored slides on China will be shown on the projection machine ma-chine which the Lady Lions recently re-cently presented to the Sherman school. Mrs. L. Marcus Jensen, Jen-sen, -president, will preside. |
