The game was played at Park City under night lights, and gave Sugar House the series, each having previ ously won one contest from the other. Magleby'at third sack knock-i ed out two homers, while Occie' Evans at shortstop registered one circ'uit clout and showed a flash of his old 1928 form at fielding. The boys were put in fine fettle for the contest the night before when they feasted on steaks and corn at the annual Ladies night party at George Aposhian's, 3008 S. 1845 E. At this affair games were enjoyed and a talk on Utah's coal resources re-sources was given by Mr. Mon-ahan Mon-ahan of the recently formed smokeless fuel manufacturing : company. ! There's a strong movement on now for the organization of a statewide Lions club Softball league next season and the Su-1 gar House boys, pretty chesty over their defeat of Kamas, are rarin' . to go.' Matter of fact, they've issued a challenge to any club in the state for a game anytime any-time between now and snow time. |
