Show EDITORIAL On Being A Half Member ""N a meeting this week of a prominent Sugar House organization organiza-tion it was all too evident that many of the affiliates were really only "half members." Their interest in the organization was only 50 per cent or less and was best exhibited by their leaving the meeting at the half-way point. When one reflects on the subject, the same disturbing situation situa-tion seems to be prevalent in other organizations. There are just too many "half members" in our organizations, The truth that the "half members" seem to forget is that in a community and in the world the work done by organizations organiza-tions determines human progress. That is why an organized group cannot afford to have indifferent members. Our religious and civic groups need more 100 per cent membrs: people who will go "all the way" in the program of the group. Their enthusiasm en-thusiasm can be measurd in attendance at meetings, willingness to accept responsibility, initiative in activities, and cooperation with the group. Anything less than that brands one as a "half member." There are many personal rewards to the person who is an active member of a worthy organization, the geatest of which is a realization he is doing something for others. The people who only go halfway never realize that they are missing out on the important part of life.. gage, as follows, to wit: 1 3-shelf limed oak bookcase 1 Platform rocking chair 1 2-pc. tapestry living room set 3 misc. tables 1 9x12 carpet 4 walnut dining chairs 1 oak china closet 1 'Duncan-Phyfe table 1 Cong.
