Show FAREWELLS Two farewell testimonials were held last week for two prominent young people of this area prior to their leaving on LDS missions Miss Fern Webster, Web-ster, 2491 Douglas Street, is leaving for the Texas-Louisiana Mission, and Eldon D. Clark is soon to depart for the Hawaiian Mission. Daughter fo W. F. and Dena C. Webst er, 2539 Douglas St., formerly of Loa, where Mr. Webster was president of the Wayne Stake for many years, Miss Webster is a graduate of Wayne High School. She attended attend-ed Snow College for one year and has recently been associated associat-ed with the Excelsis Beauty Salon. Sa-lon. On the farewell program Sunday evening at the Highland Park Ward were W. Rex Brian and Willis R. WUlardson. Mr. Clark, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orson Clark, 759 E. 3225 South St., was honored at a testimonial testimon-ial last week at the Wandamere Wark. Speakers on the program included: George R. Smith, Ernest Ern-est L. Miner and Bishop Charles W. Fawon. Musical selections were offered by Calvin Dreoksel, Orso.n Clark and a ladies' trio, consisting of Helen Layton, Norma Nor-ma West and Pearl Ofgreen. |
