Show SOUTHEASTERN STUDENTS GET LEADS IN SOUTH HIGH OPERA Students from the southeast area will play lead roles in the approaching South H;gh Schorl opera, "Song of Norway," slated for March 28, 29 and 30 in the school auditorium. Pat Birkinshaw, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Birkinshaw, 1288 ; Stratford Ave., will play the part of Nina in the production. The role of Edvard Grieg, whose I life story is depicted in the I opera, will be performed by Eugene Cecil, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Cecil, 1776 So. 5th East. Craig Pyper as the Count, Karen Peterson as the Countess, and Jerry Dunn as Richard Nordraak, are the main performers per-formers in the opera. The South High a capella choir and junior choir will do the chorus work. Armont Willardsen is musical musi-cal director, Miss Myrthe Harvey Har-vey is drama director, and Jack Vigos is in charge of stage craft. All seats will be reserved, and may be purchased at the South High School office, or from any student participating in the big production. |
