McKay, as chairman of the State Centennial commission, urged members of the various county and community commun-ity -Centennial Beautification committees to attend the Statewide State-wide Beautification conference to be held in Salt Lake City at the Newhouse hotel all day on November 16. The Centennial chairman, who has been ill recently, re-cently, will preside at the banquet ban-quet which climaxes the conference, confer-ence, if his health permits. The conference is held to provide pro-vide instruction and plans for completion of local beautification beautifica-tion work. Two nationally famous fa-mous planning experts will speak at the session. They are L. Denting Dent-ing Tilton, of the University of California, at Berkeley; and Carl Feiss, planning and zoning consultant, of Denver, Colorado. State chairmen in the five beautification beau-tification divisions will speak at the various sessions. Although reservation cards have been sent out for those wishing to attend, any beautification beautifi-cation committee member may take advantage of the session without them as a number of extra places have been reserved for that emergency, according to Jean il.
