Show Marlborough Ward Slates Two-Day Two-Day Carnival A gala carnival with brightly decorated booths, merry-go-rounds, train, hay rides, games j of skill and fun is being held! July 22 and 23 by Marlborough LDS Ward as a project to build up its wc-lfare iud. The two-day two-day carnival is located on the recently asphalted 125 foot square parking and recrational area on the ward's property at 160(j South 9th East. Out-of-Dcoi-s The carnival opens at 4 p.m. For the first time since it was founded five years ago, Marlborough Marl-borough Ward is holding its carnival out-of-doors. Included Includ-ed in the long list of attractions is a train on a 330-foot track, 80 feet in diameter. In addition there is a small merry-go-round for the entertainment of the youngsters. One of the highlights high-lights of the carnival, according to ward bishop, O. E. Jorgen-sen, Jorgen-sen, is the side show attraction of "dumping" a ward bathing beauty in a tub of water. In charge of the two-day show is Joseph S. Nelson who is being assisted by all ward priesthood quorum and auxiliary auxil-iary presidencies. Members of the bishopric in addition to Mr. Jorgensen are; Glenn A. Thomsen and Clifford F. Parkin, counselors. |
