Show Fish and Game Plans Stagv Party Annual smoker and stag party of the Salt Lake County Fish and Game Association will be held tonight at the Coliseum on the Fair Grounds, Ed Baker, chairman of the event announced announc-ed Monday. The stag atfair is one of several social functions the club sponsors throughout the year. The county association is conducting con-ducting a membership drive at the present time, I I. Scott Lin-nell, Lin-nell, prominent Sugar House businessman and association board member, stated. Membership Member-ship is expected to exceed the 4000 mark before the drive closes, he said. "Salt Lake County Fish and Game Association is the only association as-sociation in the United States that owns its own hatcheries and plants its own fish," Mr. Linnell remarked. The $75,000 plant is located at 880 Scott Ave. At the present time fish are there, all ready to be released to the streams of the county, he said. Board members from the Sugar Su-gar House area besides Mr. Linnell Lin-nell are: Bill Hylqr, Phil Grimm and June Olsen. Officers of the group: Joe Rideout, president-Jerry president-Jerry Lambert, first vice" president; pres-ident; Horace Durrant, second vice president and C Grin Wilson, Wil-son, secretary-treasurer. Attendance at the stag party is by membership only. Chairman Chair-man Baker announced that the fee for joining the association is only one dollar. This price, he stated, entitled full membership member-ship and includes a year-round program of activity. Assisting Mr. Baker on the committee are Bert Jewkes and Max Knight. |
