Show Kris Kringle's Corporals To Aid Needy Throughout State "Kris Kringle's Corporals," some 5000 strong, have nearly completed their organization program in communities throughout the state to provide Christmas happiness to all the needy homes in Utah. Sponsored by the Deseret News and the Veterans of Foreign For-eign Wars, the Yuletide public service plan began to roll into action this past week in more than a doezn Utah cities and towns. Public response has been most gratifying, according to Keith DuBois, state chairman of the "Kris Kringle's Corporals" campaign for the VFW. Forty- six eager VFW posts, in 40 key Utah communities have advanced ad-vanced their plans and are now enthusiastically engaged in picking up contributions, repairing re-pairing and reconditioning the donations as needed, investigat- ' ing the wants of unfortunate homes and making preparations for a huge delivery just prior to ' Christmas. Give all you can afford to. South East Area In the Southeast area, donors are asked to phone Kris Kringle Editor, 4-2581, between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., or if more convenient, con-venient, they may deliver gifts to either of the following VFW posts: 833 Second East St., or 175 South State St. (basement). Contributions outside of Salt Lake are urged to phone or write the VFW post commander nearest them. A complete list of these individuals appears regularly regu-larly in the Deseret News according ac-cording to communities. Report Names of Needy Also in demand are the names of needy families. Children Gladly Give This is a program where everyone can contribute. Already Al-ready in many communities of Utah the children have shown the way in donating their old toys and playthings, when it was explained to them that other boys and girls may not be as fortunate this Christmas. Now is the time to give what you can, as soon as you can. Toys, clothing, food and household house-hold items are high on the list of "Kris Kringle's Corporals."
