Show Art Barn Winter Term Beginning The Art Barn School of Art is begiinning the Winter Term during the week of December 4th, with an enlarged program. As usual the school offers full and part-time courses in both the fine and advertising arts, thus satisfying the needs for professional training, classes for fun, and additional education for those who are already working work-ing in the art field. Both day and evening courses are available. avail-able. Classes in dancing by Margaret Mar-garet Burton-Walton have been newly aded this year. Still-Life painting will be taught by Michael Cannon, Richards Sears will conduct classes in Figure Painting, Life Drawing, Illustration, painting workshop and lecture on Sources of Contemporary Art. Commercial Art will be taught by Dan Leahy and Goff Dowd-ing, Dowd-ing, lettering by Kyle Williams. Fashion Illustration by Joyce Ottum, and the young people's Saturday class by Clara White. Evening classes will include painting by Burnam Pearlman and Sculpture by Millard Malin. History of Art and the class in Design will be taught by Gertrude Ger-trude Teutsch. Of particular interest during the winter-etrm will be a group of courses by H. Reuben Reynolds, Rey-nolds, professor of art at Utah State Agricultural College. Lectures Lec-tures on color on Tuesday and Thursday, 4 to 5 p.m. and a lecture lec-ture on Art Appreciation Thursday Evenings from 7:30 to 9:30, are classes which have had Professor Reynolds' special attention for many years. He is famous for his success in teaching teach-ing these particular fieldls. Especially Es-pecially noteworthy is his vast collection of slides, which he prepared himself, and which illustrate il-lustrate his lectures. |
