Show Public Health Local health officers from all sections of the State reported a total of 247 cases of communi- cable disease to the Division of Epidemiology, State. Department of Health, for the week ending July 11, 1941. This is 73 cases more than was reported for the previous week and 12 cases fewer than were reported one year ago for the corresponding week. Whooping cough lead the list, with a total of 79 cases; chicken-pox chicken-pox is second, with 69 cases; and gonorrhea is third with 19 cases. Three cases of Rocky Mountain spotted fever were reported from the following counties: Cache 1, Iron 1. and Unitah 1. So far this year, a total of ten cases have been reported from various sec tions of the state. A total of IS cases of tuberculosis tubercul-osis was reported, nine of these being reported from Salt Lake City. Other communicable disease are as follows: measles 8. Ger man measles 17, mumps 16, pneumonia pneu-monia 3. scarlet fever 4, sentic sore throat 1. syphilis 9, and ath er tuberculosis 2. Xo report of communicable disease was reported from Logan nor Cedar City. The following counties reported no diseases: Daggett. Emery Grand, Iron. Kane San Juan, Se vier. Tooele. Washington. and Wayne. |
