Show BOWLING Tom Whiting came through with a 255 score to win the bowling bowl-ing pin tie clasp at the Southeast again last week. He is the only winner to repeat so far during the season. In the "Husband and Wife" League of Monday night bowlers, however, there is one gentleman who has won three cups for especially good bowling. That gentleman is H. Gillespie who won this week's prize with a single high game of 236. The Gillespies will soon have a complete com-plete set of the small gold cups, if "Gil" just keeps his -magic touch on the ball. Ray Gilbert bowled an outstand ing series of 609 this week, and the high team series was rolled by the Morley-Stevenson quartet quar-tet who had 2099. The Morley-Stevenson Morley-Stevenson teams stayed at the top of the league by winning four pointp from Ward-Fellows, but the other teams were well scrambled scram-bled by winning or losing points. All the teams in the league seem to be quite evenly matched and it would be difficult to predict who will win at the end of the schedule. Some work is being done toward to-ward lining up the ladies' leagues at the Southeast for the coming winter season. Any lady who is interested in bowling in a league should leave her name with Mac, and, whether she is a beginner or an experienced bowler, there is before being called to active a place for her to bowl. |
