Governor Herbert B. Maw has ask the people of Utah to re-elect him to the governorship. gov-ernorship. At this time, he- is directing an invitation to- - members - of the Democratic Party in particular and Utahns in general to give him their support in the Primary election on July 11, at which time the respective parties of the state will nominate their candidates. candi-dates. Governor Maw is intensely eag-ar eag-ar to complete the program he has made jsuch progress in during his service for the state so far. He is especially concerned over the need for consolidating the gains Utah has made in the last four years and in developing his nationally recognized posl-warl plan of progress for this state. The governor takes the position! that the war effort is the paramount para-mount consideration at this time but he does feel that careful di-! rection be given to post war plans for Utah. He already has moved far ahead in the develop-1 ment of these plans. I Supportors , of Governor Maw urge his re-election for a wide ' variety of important reasons. I They call attention to the fact I that he has made remarkable progress in fulfillinw pledges he made to voters of the state four years ago. They are enthusiastic over the . fact that he lifted the state out! of debt within 25 months after' he had taken the oath of office. They call attention to the fact 1 that he has fulfilled his promise to streamline state government j through reorganization of the entire en-tire govermmental structure. Governor Maw also has worked diligently in the interest of developing de-veloping the state's natural re-resources, re-resources, his supporters point out.
