Show WITH THE MARINES Marine First Lieutenant James H. Caulfield, of Salt Lake City, has been commended by Admiral Chester W. Nimitz for his work as ordnance officer wilh a Marine Mar-ine fighter squadron from January Janua-ry 6 to May 1944. Nimitz said in his letter that Lieutenant Caul-field Caul-field was instrumental in maintaining main-taining planes that were used in the defeat of the Japanese in the Solomon islands and the Bismark archipelago. The Marine son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Caulfield of Bingham, and a graduate of University of Utah, is the husband of Mrs. Dorothea Dor-othea J. Cauldfield Salt Lake City. Two Salt Lake City women have been assigned to duty at the Marine Corps training camp for women, with the women's reserve re-serve battalion, Camp Lejeune, following completion of "boots training there. They are Privates Verna G. Lundgreen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter O. Lundgreen, and Ada Virginia Lindorff, . daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A M Lindorff, |
