Fonda, Friday. Bruce Smart, LDS bishop, officia-ted at the rites. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Bartlett, Caquipec, Alta Verapaz, Guatem-ala, who came to Salt Lake fcr the wedding. The bridegroom is the son cf Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Fonda, 1111 Emerson Ave. She chose a gown of silk shan-- '. tung designed princess style, bal-- lerina length, with lace embroid-ered in bands at the bust and hip " j lines. The bodice was fashioned with a square neckline and lily - , point sleeves. Her fingertip veil cf silk illusion was held in place by ., ; a silk shantung cap trimmed with lace. , A Attending the bride were Miss Carole Casseil, maid of honor, ' . Chicago 4-- H Trip Offered byCudahy An educational trip to the 1957 national 4-- H Club Congress in Chicago, December 1 to 5, will be available to a qualified Utah 4-- H Club member, according to Glenn T. Small Business Leaders to Meet With President President Eisenhower has invit-ed 21 leaders from business, edu-cation and research of this part of the country to attend the Pre-sident's Conference on Technical and Distribution Research for the Benefit of Small Business, to be held in Washington, D. C, Sep-tember 23, 24 and 25. The Presi-dent has invifi 1,000 business men throughout the Nation to par-ticipate. Harold R. Smethills, Regional Director of the Small Business Administration, in making public the names of this area's partici-pants, said the conference has been called by President Eisen-jhow- er to assist small manufactu-rers, .wholesalers, and retailers in using modern methods and tech-niques for developing and impro-ving their products and increasing their sales.
