Show Successful Retreat The annual church retreat for the Holladay Community Church was held Sept. 13, 14 and 15 at the YMCA Camp above Kamas. Theme of the affair was "Why The Church" and the main text was "In. But Not of The World" by Robert Spike. Bob Vickory was chairman and was assisted by Bob and Arlene Matteson, Joy Mays, Ruby Ham-mels, Ham-mels, Peter Berchovitz, Lucy Powell, Po-well, John and Betty Brown, Harry Har-ry and Pat Fisher, Charlie and Grace Elliott, Larry and Carolyn Anderton, Bob and Elinore JJones, Blair and Virginia Burwell. John and Annette Church, Jenny Cow-els Cow-els and Peter Lowe. Second Lt. Leo A. Jardine, Jr., whose parents live at 13S1 Roberta Rob-erta St., completed the officer basic ba-sic course Sept. 4 under the Reserve Re-serve Forces Act program at the Army's Finance School, Fort Benjamin Ben-jamin Harrison. Ind. Lieutenant Jardine attended the elementary finance officer course as part of his six months active duty training commitment. He will complete the remainder of his active ac-tive duty tour with the Finance Center at Fort Harrison. The lieutenant is a 1955 graduate grad-uate of the University of Utah and is a member of Phi Kappa Alpha fraternity. His wife, Judith, lives in Fortville, Ind. |
