| Show ADAM AND EVA WILL MAKE FIRST PAYMENT ON PARK business men pledge themselves to sell ten tickets each for entertainment thursday evening culture club of roosevelt have agreed to raise to Apply on city park obligation at a meeting of 0 the business men held in the te roosevelt commercial club rooms monday evening at which mayor clarence I 1 johnson presided it was decided to get behind the movement which has been started to raise funds for the reduction of the city park obligation the roosevelt culture club has pledged themselves to raise at least and to do so have secured the operation cooperation co of the senior class of the high school who will present the play adam and eva in the utopia theatre thursday ev evening ehing the proceeds of which will go to this commendable purpose the play will be staged under direction of mrs homer P edwards the business men present numbering about 20 pledged their support and agreed to sell ten tickets each it was also proposed that the business men give a basket dance at a date in the near future tor for the purpose elroy wilkins was selected chairman of the committee on arrangements and will be assisted by ray E dillman earl mullins Al christy anderson dr robert warnock clarence L ashton and lynn orser |
