Show ISAAC W spaulddng the subject of this sketch was born at marietta ohio on september 11 1857 and died at roosevelt on december 22 1914 he was the son of captain isaac spaulding being the youngest of ten children he was married to miss emma guckert on october 18 1887 and to this union four children were born two of wl which ach died in infancy one son living in columbus ohio and one daughter ruth going to school in roosevelt the deceased joined the odd fellows i in n 1885 and has been a good and faithful member ever since never failing to meet with his lodge members when health permitted in 1908 1903 his health was failing him and he with his family came to the uintah basin and filed on a homestead 1 21 miles southwest of roosevelt about two months ago he suffered with a stroke of paralysis and since then he has continued to get worse until death relieved him last tuesday he is survived by a dutiful and loving wife one son one daughter and two sisters mrs john T duff of newcomerstown Newcomers town ohio and mrs lyman B puller fuller of albia iowa the funeral services were conducted at the amusement hall under the aup auspices ices of the local 1 I 0 0 F lodge which were very impressive mrs isham sang one sweetly solemn thought after which rev sloan of myton delivered a sermon saying cheering words of encouragement to the bereaved mrs frizzell then sang a solo entitled saved by grace mr spaulding was well thought of by all his neighbors and had many warm personal friends in this community to the bereaved the standard extends sympathy |
