Show Hangar Talk By Pete Monday morning I wound up the little yellow fly buggy and took a ride out over the country coun-try side, just to make a check on things in general. Everything looked rather frosty but I saw no signs of any one feeding their dry stock. I drifted up over the Dry I Gulch area and got a good look at that big buck I couldn't find last October. Out of 23 deer, I counted 4 bucks, which gives me a little hope for next fall. Of all modern machinery I think these fly buggies are I just about tops. An automobile is nice, but one has to stay on the road, and you can't see much. With an airplane you just point her where you want to go. If you spot something you want to look over, do a couple of turns, and take a good look. Flying has been a little slow since the big' snow; but we have the runways all cleared off, thanks to the local state road commission. Doyal Evans and a friend, took off Wednesday morning to spend a few days in Antonita, in the San-Louis valley, near the border of New Mexico. I hope I get a flight down south one of these days. |
