Show 7iic)ell Tridell P T A Has Interesting Session PTA meeting was held Thursday Thurs-day evening in the Tridell chapel. cha-pel. Mr. Arvard Rigby. of Vernal Ver-nal a member of the Uintah county PTA was the guest speaker. He also presented a film, "American Anniversary." Other numbers on the program pro-gram were an accordian duet by Maxine and Marta Morrill; a vocal solo, Mary McConkie; two vocal solos by Mr. Rigby. Refreshments were served to forty-two. Orsen and Don Harvey, Deloy Morrill, and Merlin Simmons made a trip to Salt Lake City Tuesday of last week. They returned re-turned Thursday. Unice Ann, Alice and Floyd Simper, of Roosevelt, spent a few days last week with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Davis Morrill, while their mother moth-er was in the hospital. Bobby Oberhansley celebrated his 11th birthday with a party Monday after school at his i home. A -large birthday cake, decorated in pink and white, was the center of attraction. Lorin and Reed McKee were Logan visitors over the weekend. week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Harvey entertained en-tertained Friday evening at a party. Games and refreshments were enjoyed. Bishop and Mrs. H. LeRoy Morrill made a trip to Salt Lake Friday to attend the wedding of their daughter, Izola Beth, and Ray Haslem, who were married Friday in the Salt Lake L D S - temple. Mr. and Mrs. Jerald Trujillo, of Ogden, and Mr. and Mrs. Howard McKowen and small daughter, of Salt Lake City, were weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs. James Trujillo. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Kitchen, of Junction; Levi Kitchen, of Provo; and Linford Kitchen, of American Fork were here during dur-ing the weekend to visit their mother, who is ill and-in the hospital at Vernal. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Goodrich, Good-rich, Mable Haub, Phyllis Oberhansley, Ob-erhansley, Doris Morrill, Eva Trujillo and Barba Morrill attended at-tended the Uintah school district dis-trict mid winter institute in Vernal Saturday. James Trujillo has gone to Colorado to work for about three weeks for Victor Karren with the sheep. He is taking the place of Perry and Hugh Johnson, John-son, who are vacationing in California with their sister. Mr. and Mrs. Preston Atwood went to Salt Lake City Thursday, Thurs-day, where Mrs. Atwood will receive medical treatment. De-one De-one Berhman is caring for the Atwood place while they are away. Fireside chat was held Sunday Sun-day evening1 at the home of Mrs. Grant Betts. Dartell Goodrich Good-rich was the speaker. A question box was used for material for discussion. Refreshments were served. Alvin Weeks and Harmon Sowards, visitors from Vernal, were speakers at Sacrament meeting Sunday. Lorna R. McKee was a substitute sub-stitute teacher at the Tridell school, Friday, for Bishop Morrill, Mor-rill, who was out of town. Thora McConkie is substituting substi-tuting at the Tridell school as cook this week for Barbara Morrill. |
