Show Correspondents Mend f'ews Wiling Clinic, Luncheon Friday; Hear Discussion On lews Problems A special news writing clinic and luncheon was held for the Roosevelt Standard and Uintah Basin Record correspondents Fri., June 8 at the Frontier Grill in Roosevelt. After the luncheon Editor Cliff Memmott began h'is discussion by complimenting the correspondents on the work they were doing. He then stated that during the past six years circulation of the Standard Stand-ard has doubled. The editor explained that Phil Pack, linotype operator, is leaving the Sandard and therefore some changes must be made. Deadline will be Monday noon instead of Tuesday noon; Corrospondents are to write their information briefly; and are to hand in clear copy were points discussed. Mr. Memmott concluded his discussion by saying, "We want people's names in the news. One-thousand One-thousand names in the paper means one-thousand happy people." He also emphasized the imoprtance of spelling names correctly. Those attending were May L. Mower, Montwel; Thelma D.
