Show Recent Bride Complimented At Shower At Wilkins' Home Wednesday, June 6 The home of Mrs. Farrell Wilkin Wil-kin was the scene of a lovely social and shower complimenting Mrs. David Four Cloud, nee Miss ! Barcy Nickell, Wednesday, June 6, between the hours of 3:00 and, 6:00 p.m. Approximately 100 gusts i called' during the afternoon. ! Co-hostess with Mrs Wilkins were the Misses Darlene Huxford, Lynne Wilkins, Charlotte Mc-Arthur, Mc-Arthur, Nadine Chugg and Arlene Lawson, who assisted with the serving and in the gift room. Miss Kay Labrum also helped with kitchen arrangements. Presiding at the tea table were Mrs. Lynn Nickell, mother of the young bride, and Mrs. Milt Nickell, the bride's grandmother. A lace cloth with a gold undercover covered the table, which was centered with a beautiful arrangements arrange-ments of red roses and white daisies surrounding a minature bride and groom. Pale green tapers tap-ers added a completed accent, as well as the napkins with silver bells, inscribed with "Barcy and David." A musical program was presented pre-sented during the afternoon under the direction of Mrs. Lorin Alexander. Alex-ander. Miss Helen Robbins sang several vocal numbers, accompanied accom-panied by Miss Huxford, and Lad'd Wilkins sang, "Those Wedding Bells are Breaking Up That Old Gang of Mine." Piano selections were presented at intervals during dur-ing the program by Mrs. Alexander Alex-ander and Miss Laura Ann Leavitt. Soft music by Mrs. Sheldon Fitzgerald Fitz-gerald at the piano and Mrs. Ray Summers with her violin lent a continuous background for the occasion. Mrs. Fitzgerald also sang several selections. |
