Show Kiwanis Farmers' flight Observed; Cub Scouts Started The Roosevelt Kiwanis club's annual "Farmer's Night" was observed last night with approximately ap-proximately a dozen tillers of the soil being guests of club members at a dinner and program pro-gram at the Frontier Grill cafe. The program was under the direction di-rection of the Agriculture and Conservation committee of which Elmer Yergensen is chairman. The group was first entertained enter-tained by a girls' chorus from the Elementary school, under the direction of Garth Tietjen. The winning Future Farmer entry en-try in the speech contest from Union High School, Rulon Gilbert, Gil-bert, delivered his winning) talk to the club, which is entitled, en-titled, "The - Colorado River Projects." His instructor, Shar-ron Shar-ron Cummings, explained the FFA and agricultural programs as carried out in the schools ' generally and especially at Union Un-ion High. Mr. Yergensen introduced in-troduced the speakers and Orson Or-son Stevens, vice - president, conducted the meeting. The club heard a report fram Dr. W. P. Peterson that the Child Welfare committee of which he lis chairman, completed com-pleted the organization, Tuesday Tues-day night, of a Cub Scout pack with 14 boys being signed to two dens.
