Show BPW Club Hears Program By LaRena lorg LaRena lorg from Fort Duchesne, Du-chesne, took BPW members and guests on a tour of the Uintah Basin, when she highly entertained enter-tained the group with an interesting in-teresting history of the country and the Indian people, completing complet-ing her program with several musical selections. She sang a vocal solo, "Pale Moon," accompanied accom-panied by Ellen Rawlings, and a vocal duet with Mrs. Raw-lings, Raw-lings, entitled "Let the Rest of the World Go By." Marilyn Anderson played a piano solo, and Mrs. lorg concluded her program by singing, "Indian Love Call." This was part of the program taken from the Basin to the Regional Convention held at the Hotel Utah Aug. 29. A report on the Regiorial B. P.W. meeting was given by Kate Smith, and an invitation to attend at-tend the district convention in Vernal on Oct. 4, was issued by Mrs. Rawlings, district chairman. chair-man. The president, Lenore Hutch-ings, Hutch-ings, conducted a brief business session and urged club members mem-bers to observe National Business Busi-ness Women's Week, set for Oct. 11 to 17. An attractive arrangement of white gladioli and pink asters in a crystal bowl centered the table, with lighted tapers in crystal candleabra at either side. Hostesses for the successful meeting included Myrtle Lam-ber.t, Lam-ber.t, Fawn Leavitt and Ellen Rawlings, who' presided. |
