Show Two Christened i Three Baptized, Confirmed, Sunday Two babies were blessed in Sacrament meeting Sunday. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Charley Timothy was named Phillip J. and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Maxfield was named Arthur J. Girls being baptized and confirmed con-firmed Saturday and Sunday-were Sunday-were Gwenda Bell Ralphs, Bonnie Bon-nie Powell, Karen Clark and Peggy Ralphs. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Collard and family, of Huntington, and Med Allred, of Sunnyside, spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Dru Allred and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Rochel. Guests visiting at the home of Mrs. Mary Bowden and Douie, Sunday, were Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Ol-iver Bowden and daughters. Mr and Mrs. Vance Clark and family. fam-ily. Mrs. Don Snyder, of Gusher; Mr. and Mrs. Nolan Marshall and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Foote, of Huntington; Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Bowden and family and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Burgess, Al-tonah. Al-tonah. Mr. and Mrs. George Fisher, Jr. went to Vernal Saturday to visit Mrs. Velma Richens, who is ill in the Vernal hospital. Albert Young, of Lapoint, visited relatives and friends in Altonah Friday. Mr. and Mrs. George Carroll and family spent Labor Day in Salt Lake City, Lagoon and other oth-er points of interest, Mrs. Delmar Ivie and daughter, daugh-ter, of Nephi, is here staying with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Clark. . Mr. and Mrs. Steve Kappas, of Springville, were over night g-uests Saturday at the home of Mrs. Kappas' brother, Wm. E. Clark, and family, while enroute to Meeker, Colorado. . School started Tuesday with Mrs. Madelyn Pedkins as the 2nd and 3rd grade teacher. Lee Jessen driving the west Altonah bus, and Fenton Powell the east side bus. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Jacobson, of Lehi, Mr. and Mrs. George Smith, of Ely, Nev., spent from Sunday until Tuesday with Mrs. Mary Bowden and sons. Clinton and Louie. Mrs. ' Bowden, Mrs. Smith and Mr. Jacobson are brother and sisters. Mr. and Mrs. Christian Jensen, of Moroni, spent Saturday at the home of Mrs. Jensen's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Carroll. Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Mitchell Visited during the week in Upal-co Upal-co with their parents. Harold Ralphs made a business busi-ness trip to Salt Lake City, Sunday. Sun-day. Guests at the home of Mrs. Elva Snyder Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Snyder and daughter, Mrs. Blanche Feltcher, of Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Willard Snyder and family, of China Lake, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Junior Potts and daughter, of Upalco. |
