A delicious de-licious meal was served in the early evening, while bridge was then enjoyed to a late hour by Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Linck. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Lamb, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Harris, Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Davenport, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Lamb, Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish, Miss Alice Todd and Lee Cooper. High score went to Mrs. Davenport and Mr. Cooper. , Inclement weather forced the American Legion and Auxiliary to postpone their regular meeting meet-ing Friday, Jan. 13. (Could the date have been a hoodoo?) Ted Cooper was called to Salt Lake Friday evening by the illness of his small son. who has been confined to a Salt Lake hospital for some time. The boy took a sudden turn for the worse when it seemed he was showing some improvement. Mrs. Cooper has been with her son since he was moved to Salt Lake. . Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hart, of Duchesne, Du-chesne, visited Wednesday at the James Dalgleish home. John Kronk left Tuesday to visit relatives during the next few months at Fleming, Colo., McCook, Curtis and Freemont, Nebraska. Snow, which hit this vicinity Saturday i n blizzard proportions, propor-tions, was followed by clearing weather. Many local weather profits immediately foretold a January thaw and a general break in the cold weather. However How-ever the thaw did not materialize, materi-alize, and the mercury dropped to 19 below Sunday night, according ac-cording to readings reported by Wm. R. Preece, who records the Myton temperature readings for the U. S. irrigation service. Albert Tanner, employed in Carbon county, spent the week end here with his wife. Mrs. Andrew Tolboe, who has been enjoying a month's visit with her daughters and sons-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ar-leigh Ar-leigh Hall and Mr. and Mrs. Coy Benson, in Inglewood, Calif., returned home Friday. Mrs. M. C. Adams has received re-ceived word that her parents, the Emery Neilsons, are enjoy-1 ing lovely, mild weather in Arizona, Ar-izona, but are lonesome for Myton My-ton friends. |
