Show Alterra Parents i Observe School Days, Jan. 19 The students at Alterra high school took a vacation Thursday, Jan. 19, while their parents treked to school to find out again this year what attending class is like "twenty years later." lat-er." A comprehensive program of the day's activities started in the morning with 30-minute class sessions for the narents. Fifteen minutes of each class were devoted to regular class activities, 15 minutes to parent-teacher parent-teacher consultation. During lunch the parents heard from Mrs. Lola Christen-jen, Christen-jen, Uintah county lunch supervisor, super-visor, who discussed the school lunch program, and Mrs. Nettie Remington. Uintah county nurse, who talked on student health and sanitation problems. At 12:55 a general assembly Iwas held, at which time Principal Prin-cipal Hatch and Superintendent I Harold Lundell. of the Uintah i county school board, discussed i school p-oblems with parents. I The PTA held a short busi-'ness busi-'ness meeting at 1:30 for the election elec-tion of officers. Coach Tom Fullmer began a 'session on recreational activities activi-ties at 2. which lasted an hour and a half. At 3:30 the parents boarded the buses for home. |
