Show Mrs. Ellen Bracken Phone 62062 Boy Injured In Fall From Horse Merrill, the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Rasmussen, Rasmus-sen, fell from the horse he was riding near the R. W. Barn, last Wednesday, and cracked his skull. He was rushed to the Roosevelt Hospital and at this writing is still in a critical condition con-dition and is unconscious most of the time. The ward Preparation meeting meet-ing was held Wednesday evening, eve-ning, Sept. 15, at the Leland Angus home, with Beatrice Angus An-gus as hostess. Twelve of the officers and teachers were present. pres-ent. After the lessons, refreshments refresh-ments were served with Mrs. Nita White assisting. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hatch made a trip to Grand Junction recently for a load of fruit. Mr. and Mrs. George Bracken Brack-en went to Merkley Park near Vernal on Friday night to attend at-tend a party for the non-teacher employees of Uintah County. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Angus, who have been living in Roosevelt Roose-velt since their recent marriage have gone to Logan, where they both plan on going to theA.C. this coming year. Mrs. Leland Angus took them to Logan last week. Mrs. Pearl Jenkins, of Roosevelt, Roose-velt, spent some time at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Jenkins, while they were away. M.I.A. officers and teachers attended the stake MIA Preparation Prepar-ation meeting at Roosevelt last Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Tex' Ross accompanied ac-companied Mr. and Mrs. Rex Taylor, of Lapoint, to the school party at Merkley's Park oh Friday evening. Mr. Ross and Mr. and Mrs. Taylor gave several musical numbers. Morley Dean, of Independence, Indepen-dence, rushed his wife, Irene, to Salt Lake City on Saturday evening, when she became ill very suddenly. Erie Hatch, P-TA president; Principal Thomas Jeppson, Junior Jun-ior Hicks, Mrs. David Lund-berg Lund-berg and Mrs. Ole Rasmussen were among those officers and chairmen who attended the P-TA conference in Roosevelt Friday evening. Mrs. Erie Hatch has been on the sick list. Paul Rayos, who has employment employ-ment away, spent the past weekend with his family. |
