Show Robbie's Shcp Sold; Appliance Business Opens The Roosevelt business front continues to make the headlines. head-lines. Robbie's Shop, co-owner since 1946 by Mrs. Jessie Robison and Mrs. George Harrison, was sold Tuesday, March 7, to Mrs. Morrill Labrum and Mrs. Dick Adams. The new owners invite the continued patronage of all former form-er customers and friends of Robbie's. Under its new management, man-agement, the store will carry the same lines of merchandise as in the past, with new lines to be added later. The policy of the shop will remain the same. 1 1 John Powell, Ben Tweten and Fred Amundson, partners, announce an-nounce the opening of a new business house in Roosevelt, the Northern Gas and Appliance Co., located just two doors west of the Roosevelt Standard. Its doors will open to the public Saturday morning, March 11. The new store will handle all types of propane and butane gas appliances, and Mr. Powell says Northern Gas and Appliance Appli-ance has the facilities and know-how to service all types of gas and heating equipment. A native of the Uintah Basin, Mr. Powell recently spent several sev-eral years in the northwest as a gas engineer. Mr. Tweten, of North Dakota, and Mr. Amundson, Amund-son, of Wisconsin, have had considerable experience in refrigeration re-frigeration servicing. For several sev-eral years Mr. Tweten was a mechanic for General Motors. |
