Show Pulse Of The Public December 20, 1949 Roosevelt Standard: With regard to the article written by Mr. Hightower concerning con-cerning the Roosevelt high school play, I would like to say that we are sorry for such undue un-due criticism. It may have occurred oc-curred because the writer was in no mood for such a play, and has never been in a high school i production. He states that he ' gave a literary criticism, but ' perhaps we people do not un-. un-. derstand such remarks as li-I li-I terary criticism, and view such a writing as individual criticism. We teaoh these students they must learn to do by doing, and i possibly we- even give young! people too much criticism: but it is our request that student criticism be left to the parents and to the school. We leave the praise and glory of our people to the press and public. My opinion is that the plav was well done and adequately nrepared, for which I commend the cast and director. This is Christmas, and mav we be forgiving and somewhat forgetful of our shortcomings by banding together for harmy holidays and a prosperous New Year.
